Gary Kalinka Gary's presentation will be on 15' rods and their use with longer lines (mid-spey to long belly). He will demonstrate and explain the touch-n-go casts required to aerialize longer lines. He will discuss the taper differences between shorter lines and longer lines. He will also explain practical fall and winter fishing applications using longer rods and longer lines. Gary is one of the original "ghetto casters". Most weekends you can find him fishing the larger rivers of Michigan swinging flies with a 15' or longer fly rod. This year he competed in the prestigious 2010 Spey-O-Rama World Championships at the Golden Gate Angling and Casting Club. |

9-5 open hours

Tying Demos all afternoon
Play Time w/rods all day, (except during presentations).
Casting Lessons...early afternoon, (maybe Jeff H could add some info on this).
Leif Stavmo of Guideline will be available for informal questions and casting.
Sunday is the usual "Play Day", with no formal presentations scheduled.

Ps: I have been cutting and dying a bunch of good to very good T dog, which will be available at the Fest for $5.00 per piece, this isn't Extra Large but there is some very nice Large Plus, (almost Extra Large). It will NOT be available until Saturday morning, first come, first served. Off the Hook will also have some deals available...
