Eumer Tube System
Eumer offers a tube fly tying system with many different components available, allowing the tier to mix and match bodies, tubing and heads with amazing possibilities. We stock the following components in the sizes and colors listed, (but we can special order any of the products available at www.eumertube.com). With this system, the two sizes of tubing match so there is no question of proper fit, all of the bodies and cones fit the small tubing, (which is the front on the fly). Some tiers chose to use only the small tubing, without the large which acts as a junction tube built into the fly, and use silicone tubing as the junction tube. It is possible, with modification, to combine components with those from other manufacturers, but the system is pretty much complete and works very well within itself.

Eumer Teardrop tubes. The shape of this tube braces the initial layers of the wing to allow a full looking wing with sparse materials for more movement. These are brass to add weight, and painted to add a simple color body. Ten bodies per package, includes plastic tube and junction tube, just add wing and hackle. Because the wing is tied on the small plastic tube, it is possible to add a monster cone or cone head for more weight and movement. Eumer Monster Cones. The shape of this cone disrupts and expands the flow of water around the fly adding fullness and additional movement of the wing material, made of brass for added weight and painted or polished to the colors to accent the fly. Eumer Plastic Tubing. Eumer plastic tubing comes in two sizes, (large and small), and are made to fit together allowing the tier choose the color of the built in junction tube and a separate color of inner tubing, (usually, but not necessarily, to match the cone used). The small tubing mates perfectly with all of the cones and heads from Eumer, completing the system. We stock Eumer plastic tubing in large and small in the following colors; Fl Violet, Dk Red, Fl Blue, Fl Orange, Fl Pink, Fl Yellow, Fl Green and Black. Price $5.95/1 meter pack. |

Eumer Tying Tool. THE attachment to use your vise to tie tube flies. The brass body mounts securely in any vise. The "collar knob" allows you to tighten up on hard tubes while using one of the three included mandrills. Two tapered needles are what you will use to tie with the Eumer plastic tubing; one has the taper 3 cm from the tip, the other 4 cm from the tip. This taper allows you to wedge the small tube on the needle so it will not spin, the long overall length allows long junction tube when needed. The needles are titanium and very durable.
